- Affected Teaching
- This is one of those verses which could come
right back at the false clergy as they do the same things in
modern churches that the false teachers did to the ancient
people. There is no reason why this verse has been omitted
in its entirety but it is another example of how the
minority text versions omit or bracket according to the
dictates of the early Gnostics who would have also lorded it
over the people. Of course, this verse speaks about these
people getting the greater damnation and that is one subject
that every false teacher desires to stay away from. Let us
stay with the Modern Literal Version as it continues to
guide us into truth.
