Gospel According to Luke (MLV)

Luke 17)

17:1 And he said to his disciples, It is acceptable that offenses should come; but woe to him, through whom they come! 17:2 It would be beneficial for him if a millstone were hanged around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should offend one of these little ones. 17:3 Take-heed to yourselves: if your brother sin, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. 17:4 And if he sin against you seven times in the day and seven times turn again to you, saying, I repent. You will forgive him.

17:5 And the apostles said to the Lord, Add to our faith.

17:6 And the Lord said, If you* had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you* would say to this mulberry tree, Be uprooted and be planted in the sea; and it would obey you*. 17:7 But which one of you*, having a bondservant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him, when he has come in out of the field, Come immediately and recline at the table. 17:8 But will you* not rather say to him, Prepare something so I may dine? And when you gird yourself, serve me, while I eat and drink; and you will eat and drink after these things. 17:9 He does not thank the bondservant because he did the things that was commanded, does he? I think not. 17:10 Even so you* also, when you* will have done all the things that are commanded you*, say, We are useless bondservants; we have done what it was our duty to do.

17:11 And it happened, as he was on the way to Jerusalem, that he was passing though the middle of Samaria and Galilee. 17:12 And as he entered into a certain village, ten men who were lepers met him there, who stood afar off: 17:13 and they lifted up their voices, saying, Jesus, Master, Have mercy on us.

17:14 And when he saw them, he said to them, Go and show yourselves to the priests.

And it happened, as they went, they were cleansed. 17:15 And one out of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, with a loud voice glorifying God; 17:16 and he fell upon his face against his feet, giving him thanks and he was a Samaritan.

17:17 And Jesus answering said, Was there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 17:18 Was there no one found, who returned to give glory to God, except this alien? 17:19 And he said to him, Arise and go your way: your faith has cured you*.

17:20 And being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God is coming, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God is not coming with observation: 17:21 neither will they say, Behold, here! Or, there! For* behold, the kingdom of God is <27>among you*.

17:22 And he said to the disciples, The days will come, when you* will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man and you* will not see it. 17:23 And they will say to you*, Behold, there! Behold, here! Do not go away, nor pursue them. 17:24 For* just-as the lightning, which flashes from the one end under heaven, shines to the other end under heaven; so will the Son of Man be in his day. 17:25 But he must first suffer many things and be rejected after being tested by this generation. 17:26 And as it happened in the days of Noah, even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man. 17:27 They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark and the flood came and destroyed them all. 17:28 Similarly even as it happened in the days of Lot; they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 17:29 but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 17:30 According to the same things, it will be in the day that the Son of Man is revealed. 17:31 In that day, he who will be on the housetop and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away and let him who is in the field similarly not return back. 17:32 Remember Lot's wife. 17:33 Whoever seeks to <28>save his life will lose it: but whoever loses it will live it. 17:34 I say to you*, in that night there will be two men on one cot; the one will be taken and the other will be left. 17:35 There will be two women grinding together; the one will taken and the other will be left. 17:6 There will be two men in the field; the one will be taken and the other will be left.

17:37 And they answering say to him, Where, Lord?

And he said to them, Where the body is, the eagles also will be gathered together there.
