[Hebrews 5]

 ^5:1 For^* every high priest, being taken from among men, is designated on behalf of men in things pertaining to God, that^* he may offer both gifts and sacrifices on behalf of sins: ^5:2 who is able to sympathize with the ignorant and the misled, since he himself is also encompassed with weakness; ^5:3 and because of this weakness he ought to offer himself on behalf of sins, as concerning the people, so also concerning himself. ^5:4 And no one takes the honor for himself, but when he is called by God, just-as Aaron was. ^5:5 So Christ also did not glorify himself to become a high priest, but he who spoke to him, ‘You are my Son; I have fathered you^* today.’ {Ps. 2:7} ^5:6As he also says in another place, ‘You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.’ {Ps. 110:4} ^5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and supplications with a strong outcry and tears to him who was able to save him from death and having been heard for his godly-fear, ^5:8 though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered; ^5:9 and having been perfected, he became the cause of eternal salvation to all those who obey him; ^5:10 a high priest after the order of Melchizedek having been addressed by God.

 ^5:11 Concerning whom we have many things to say and difficult to translate, since you^* have become sluggish in hearing. ^5:12 For^* indeed, because of the time, you^* ought to be teachers by now; but you^* again have need again that someone teach you^* the rudiments of the beginning oracles of God, and have become such as have need of milk and not of solid nourishment. ^5:13For^* everyone who partakes of milk is inexperienced from the word of righteousness; for^* he is an infant. ^5:14 But solid nourishment is for mature men, those who have their senses exercised to the discerning of both good and evil because of habit.
