WHY SHOULD WE SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES?
1. God wants us to study His word. 2 Tim. 2:15
2. In order to have faith. Rom. 10:17; John 20:30
3. In order to be saved. Rom. 1:16; James 1:21
4. We are kept by the word of God. Psalms 119:9-11; 1 Pet. 1:5
5. In order to grow spiritually. 1 Co. 3:1-3;1 Pe. 2:2
6. In order to be corrected and instructed. 2 Tim. 3:16
7. To be equipped for Lord's work. 2 Tim. 3:17
8. To be right doctrinally. 2 Cor. 13:5; 2 Tim. 3:16
9. To know how to worship God. John 4:24
10. To know what manner of men we are. James 1:22-25
