Mark 16:15-16 – And he said unto them, go ye into the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; he that believeth not shall be damned.

Today I am here to preach the word of God. To preach the word of God in a way that might prick your hearts and cause you to reflect on your souls. I want you to leave here faithful and believing Christians. I want today’s lesson to be an encouragement to you.

Each and every day of our lives we will teach a lesson to someone. Whether it be by words or example someone will see Christ in us. In the First century there was no obligation above that of preaching the word of God. The apostle Paul in Acts 20:20 said that he taught publicly and house to house. Acts 5:42 the apostles taught daily in the temple. The apostles recognized the saving power of the gospel. The first century and today have different challenges in preaching, however, God has prepared us with a two edged sword that is very deadly to corruption(THE WORD OF GOD).

Titus 2:11 – For the grace of God that bringeth Salvation hath appeared to all men.

Mark 1:14-15 – Jesus commanded to believe the Gospel.

Philipians 2:9-11 – At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow.

Brethern, we have a weapon that we can not leave holstered. We must be always ready to give an answer I Peter 3:15. Let’s try to be like AT&T and reach out and touch somebody.

Today I am going to speak on my favorite topic –CHRIST!!

I am going to talk about his Sacrifice, His Church, and His Throne.

Prophecy in Isiah chapter 53.

All 4 Gospels give an account of Christ sacrifice, however, today I want us all to please turn in our Bibles to Luke 23:26-46.

After hearing and thinking on the word’s we just read our hearts ought to ache because of what the Son of God went through for us!!! His sacrifice, his blood bought the Church.
 
 
 
 
 
 

It was prophesied in Daniel 2:44 Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.

Matthew 16:18 Christ said it was his Church.

Matthew 16:28 Christ said that it would occur during the lifetime of those present.

Acts chapter 2 - Day of Pentacost the Church was established.

Ephesians 4:4 Not the 300+ denominations but the ONE BODY.

Colosians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the Church, who is the beginning, the first born from the dead; that in all things he might have the pre-eminence.

I Corinthians 12:12-13 We are told that there is ONE CHURCH but many members.

OK One Church now what do we call it.

Matthew 16:18 Christ says that it is his Church.

Acts 20:28 Says that it was purchased with Christ blood.

Romans 16:16 Salute on another with an holy kiss. The Churches of Christ salute you.

DO WE READ OF ANY OTHER CHURCH? NO!!!!! Christ did not establish a super market that we could choose what ever taste, or appeals top us. He simply gave US A giftbought with his blood.I am not saying that we ought to be cocky. I am saying that if you’re here today you simply want to be sure that your going to Heaven.

Galatians 1:8-9 But though we, or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you; let him be accursed. As we said before and so say we now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you other thatn that which ye have received, let him be accursed.

Now your part of the Church. You have obeyed Christ commands. What will you receive for be a good soldier.

Matthew 25:46 Tells us there will be eternal life.

PLEASE TURN TO Revelations 21:1-7

If you wanted to expand your study you could continue versus 10-27. 

Matthew 6:9 Says that GOD is there. Wouldn’t that be reason enough, for where God is not there is darkness.

Speaking of darkness, another benefit to Christianity and the goal of Heaven is the fact that you will not spend time in HELL!!! TO clarify I tell ya a little about the flipside of the coin.

Revelations 21:8 Right where we left off the real scary things began.

I know that verse was enough but how about the outter darkness spoken of in Matthew 25:30.

Enough????

I am sure it is. The scary thing is that the end can come at anytime and you’ll need to be prepared. The funny thing is that the world is preparing for Y2K but the have no clue about the place that does not run by computers. Turn your heart back to Christ and the sacrifice he made at Calvary. 

I know if your not a Christian you ought to be jumpung out of your seat asking how do I prepare. 

THIS IS HOW……

You have heard the word Romans 10:17

Now you must believe that Christ is the Son of the living God. Marl 16:15-16

Now turn from sin and repent Acts 2:38

Then Confess that Christ is the son of God Romans 10:9-10

Finally, be Baptized for the remission of your sins Acts 22:16

Continue to live faithfully untill death Revelations 2:10 THEN HEAVEN WILL BE YOUR HOME!!!!! PLEASE COME AS WE STAND AND SING!!
