The Word of God… A Lamp Unto My Feet!
Introduction: Psalms 119:105 "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

The word of God is our road map to Heaven. It shows as how to walk right before God, and we should use it in that way.

      I.   We Need Direction
The Apostles received Direction: Acts 1:1-2 Christ then the Holy Ghost guided them John 14:16-18 and John 16:13-15

We too have the word of God that we should let dwell in us Colossians 3:16

The word is our instruction manual II Timothy 3:16-17 for all things II Peter 1:3, and it has been once delivered Jude verse 3

      II.   The Word of God is Powerful
II Corinthians 6:7 and Romans 1:16 – power of God. Hebrews 4:12-13 – quick and powerful shows the heart!

Hebrews 1:3 – all things are upheld by the word of his power. Christ has all power Matthew 28:18

Ecclesiastes 8:4 – Word is power when spoken by a King – Christ is our King Acts 2:30

      III.   The Word is the Seed that Produces Faith
The word is the seed – Matthew 13:3-23

Faith comes from that word – Romans 10:14-17 

Not the words of men – James 3:13-18, Galatians 1:6-12, and II Peter 1:20-21 (Was God’s word Hebrews 1:1-2)

(Note) On II Peter 1:20 – The context means the mean that were moved by the Holy Spirit could not change the words, that applies today since it is the same word given by the Spirit of God. We cannot make changes to it!

Conclusion: James 1:19-23 – The word can save you if you will honestly hear it and follow it!
